Seniors' Society in Hafnarfjörður

Few words about us
FEBH is an association of people in Hafnarfjörður who are 60 years old and above. The association was founded in 1968 and works to improve the welfare of senior citizens in the town as well as providing a place for social activities. FEBH is located at Flatahraun 3 in Hafnarfjörður and it is open every weekday from 8.00-16.00.
A very varied program is available so everyone should be able to pursue all kinds of interest. Here people meet and paint together, knit, crochet and sew. They play darts and billiards, sing in a choir, dance line dancing and Zumba, practice putting, yoga, bridge and progressive whist and many other things. We go regularly on planned trips, either day tours or longer trips somewhere in Iceland and occasionally we travel abroad. How much it costs to participate in each event varies, from free to several thousand ISK. The goal is that the price to participate covers the cost of teachers and other instructors.
You can also just come by for a visit at any time when it is open, to meet other people and have a cup of coffee – but the coffee is offered by the association and therefore costs nothing. Our excellent staff welcomes everyone with a smile and helps as needed.
If you become a member of FEBH you will receive a certificate that gives you a discount in many stores and on all kinds of services anywhere in the country, either at the age of 60 or 67. The annual fee this year is ISK 3000 and is valid from February this year to February next year.
You are welcome to stop by for a visit and to see what is available.
